Improve health in East London
In East London, South Asian people have some of the highest rates of heart disease, diabetes, and poor health in the UK.
East London Genes & Health is a research study set up to help fight against these and other major diseases.
By involving large numbers of local Bangladeshi and Pakistani people, the study hopes to find new ways of improving health in East London and worldwide.
Genomics is changing healthcare
East London Genes & Health is one of the world’s largest community-based genetics studies, aiming to improve health among people of Pakistani and Bangladeshi heritage in East London by analysing the genes and health of 100,000 local people.
Help make East London one of the first to benefit from the genomics revolution in healthcare.
